So it Begins!

MOAB was a blast and good for the start of the new army which will be Chaos Space Marines. I manage to buy the two CSM Battle force box sets I was after from the Combat Company stand at MOAB and in there bitz box I managed to find Chaos bike parts so with what I already owned and some second hand space marine bikes this gives me the option to make up to 5 Chaos Bikes for the army without any problem.

I have also been looking into tournaments that I can make it to and I am going to make the army to be playable from 1250 points to 2000 points. The current thought is apart from rhinos and bikes having no armour, this would mean an army of just CSM. I have also been debating with myself and have come to the following self inflicted rules and thoughts. For the HQ choice a Chaos Lord and Chaos Sorcerer only, I want to take no characters or a Daemon Prince as of yet. For Elites I might think about some Terminators but that so not set in stone and as for my Troops choices two squads of CSM’s, one squad of Berserkers and one of Plague Marines. For Fast Bikes and Raptors and Heavy most likely two squads of Havocs

I have converted and started painting up my Chaos Lord for the Warband. I ended up going a blue for the armour and as my Lord and one CMS squad will have a Mark/Icon of Slaanesh so the left leg I am painting pink. He will be carrying the Daemon Weapon “Bliss Giver” in the form of a whip chained to his wrist. My Lords right arm is from a Black Templar which I cut the head off the Power Axe and drilled a little hole to take two strands of barb wire tipped with the blades off the tails of Skaven. The head I had in my bits box and I think it’s from Fantasy Chaos. The left arm was a metal one I had in my bits box as well and the two spear shafts are from skeleton spearmen that are part of the trophy rack.

Still so many thought and things to try.

The Start

Well I am starting this second blog to chronicle not only the creation of my Chaos Space Marine Army but also any other creations, painting or hobby stuff that cross my work space. We have made it through half of September of 2010 already and starting in October after the Labour Day weekend the new army will start the sparks of life.

The thought at this time is a standard troop with purple armour and silver trim but I will do some test colours to see if anything else takes my fancy. There are the thoughts of what the bases will be made of and look like let alone the colour, so much to choose and so much to do.

Let’s see how we go!
